FAQ

Short answers to the questions store owners ask most about Recurring Reports.

Applies to: Plugins bought from WooCommerce.com and from axcelershub.com

Use this page to find quick answers about what Recurring Reports needs, what it does with your data, and how to get help.

Do I need both WooCommerce Subscriptions and WooCommerce Memberships?

No. You need WooCommerce plus at least one of them. Columns and filters adapt to whichever is active. If both are active, the report links each membership to its subscription. See Requirements.

Does it work with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS)?

Yes. It works with HPOS and with the older posts storage. You do not need to change any setting. See HPOS.

Will it slow down my store?

No. Its scripts and styles load only on the Recurring Reports screen in the admin. It adds nothing to your shop, cart or checkout pages.

Heavy work runs in the background. Exports are written in small batches. Overview numbers are rebuilt in the background every hour and every day. See Performance.

Can it change or delete my store data?

No. Recurring Reports only reads your subscriptions, memberships, orders and customers. It never edits them. The Edit subscription and Edit membership links in a row’s details open the normal WooCommerce screens.

Where do exports go, and how long are they kept?

Exports run in the background. When one is ready, download it from Recent exports on the Reports tab, or from the Exports tab.

Files are saved in a private folder inside your WordPress uploads folder. They are deleted automatically after 7 days. Deleting the plugin removes any files that are left. See Exports.

Can Shop Managers use it?

Yes. Administrators and Shop Managers get access when you activate the plugin. You can give access to other roles, or take it away from Shop Managers. See Who can see the reports.

Can I report on custom fields?

Yes. You can add columns and filters from subscription, membership and order custom fields. You can also build formula columns that combine fields, and use membership profile fields. See Custom fields, Formula columns and Profile fields.

Can I translate it?

Yes. The plugin is translation-ready. Its text domain is recurring-reports. You can translate it with a plugin such as Loco Translate.

Where does my data go?

Your report data stays on your own server. The plugin does not send customer records anywhere.

  • Exports are stored on your server and deleted after 7 days.
  • An export can be emailed only to a site user who can view the reports.
  • On the axcelershub.com build, the plugin contacts our license server to check your key. It sends your key, your site address and your site’s environment type (for example, production or staging). No customer data is sent.

See Privacy.

Can’t I just build this with AI?

For a one-off report, maybe. For numbers your team relies on every month, there is more to handle:

  • Linking each membership to the right subscription, not just the customer’s newest one.
  • Every status, including Switched and statuses added by other extensions.
  • Both HPOS and the older order storage.
  • Large exports that run in the background without timing out.
  • Access control, so only the right staff see customer data.
  • Keeping up with WooCommerce, Subscriptions and Memberships updates.

Recurring Reports already handles all of this.

Why is the Recurring Reports menu item missing?

Check that WooCommerce is active, plus Subscriptions or Memberships. Look for a notice on the Plugins screen. On the axcelershub.com build, also check that your license is active under WooCommerce → RR Settings. See Troubleshooting.

How do I get support?

  • Bought on WooCommerce.com: open a ticket from your WooCommerce.com account.
  • Bought on axcelershub.com: contact support.

In both cases, include your WooCommerce system status report and your Recurring Reports version.
