Which renewals are due in the next 30 days, and what are they worth?
List active subscriptions whose next payment falls in the next 30 days and read their combined value.
You will list every active subscription due to renew in the next 30 days and see their combined value.
Filter the Reports tab to active subscriptions with a Next payment date in the next 30 days. Then read Total value in the Summary of these filters panel.
Before you start
- You need access to Recurring Reports. See Permissions.
- This recipe needs WooCommerce Subscriptions. Memberships on their own have no next payment date.
- Work out today’s date and the date 30 days from now. Subscription dates have no quick presets.
Steps
- Go to WooCommerce → Recurring Reports and open the Reports tab.
- Open the Filters picker.
- Expand Status. Under Status source, choose Subscription. Tick Active.
- Expand Date range. Under Date source, choose Subscription.
- In Date field, choose Next payment.
- Set Start date to today and End date to 30 days from today.
- Select Apply filters.
- Select the Next payment column header to sort by the soonest renewal.
- Optional: open Columns, select Add column, and add Total price from the Subscription source. Its header reads Total.
- Read the Summary of these filters panel above the table.
The panel shows:
- Matching rows: how many subscriptions are due.
- Total value: the sum of the matching subscriptions’ totals.
- Average value: Total value divided by the number of subscriptions.
- Unique customers: how many different customer accounts those rows belong to. Guest checkouts are not counted.
- By status and By payment method: counts per status and per payment method.
Total value adds each subscription’s total once. A weekly subscription that renews four times in 30 days still counts once. On very large result sets, the panel may say it used only the first part of the matching rows. See Summary panel.
Variations
- Next 7 days instead. Change End date to 7 days from today.
- Only renewals that need the customer to pay by hand. Add the Manual renewal filter and choose Requires manual renewal. See Which subscribers renew manually?.
- Only one payment method. Expand Payment method and tick the gateway you want. The By payment method breakdown shows the split without filtering.
Export it
Select Export CSV to send this list to your finance team. See Exports.
